Help me give my students a space to organize all of our math manipulatives so we can set up our Math Makerspace. With your help, they can grab manipulatives on the go during math workshop!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have been blessed to receive so many donations that has made our math time more valuable and fun. We are moving further away from worksheets and more towards a hands-on approach to our daily learning through games, manipulatives, and technology enhanced material. Students are becoming more independent, enjoying peer cooperation and more importantly LEARNING! We are now sitting with piles of supplies looking for an organized space so that they have full access to them but ....... WHERE DO WE PUT IT ALL!
As we continue to make our room more inviting every day we are excited to make space where learning can be hands-on, within reach ANYTIME!
We are going to call this area, Math Makerspace!
This space will be a place where students can go and grab appropriate sources needed to complete their partner or independent work. I want them to be able to remain hands-on in their math adventures even when they are not working one on one with me. With your help, we can organize all of these great games, manipulatives, and learning tools into secure and safe places.
