I teach all subject areas to 2nd Grade students in an urban setting in Maryland where only certain resources are available.
I work closely with the city to deliver the best math instruction possible. However, it is sometimes difficult to provide students with the resources that they need to work independently.
Having math stories; manipulatives, such as tangrams and foam dice; and ready-to-go center activities that practice time, money, and fractions, which are difficult skills to master, will allow my students to work independently, remain engaged, and practice their math skills. Students will use the resources during math center time or as early finisher activities.
Your help will ensure that all of this is possible for my students. They will excitedly engage in math practice.
