My Project

Do you enjoy playing games? Games are a fun way for children to interact with each other while learning multiple skills. Observing my students during "free" time, I noticed that they are more involved with each other while playing games. Whether it is a card game or a different strategic game, there is a lot of communication happening in the classroom. For these reasons, I am requesting classroom games to emphasize math skills and social skills for my students from different cultures. In addition, my Math Club of 5th and 6th grade students would also benefit from the project.

Listening to my students' conversations while working together allowed me to understand how important games are to build upon the social skills necessary in life.
