Help me give my students math games and centers such as Lakeshore Folder Games and Sensory Math cards to can create a vibrant and interactive space where children can explore math concepts through play and hands-on learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The math games included in this project will impact the way my students learn mathematics. Math games will transform math into an exciting adventure, capturing the attention of even our most reluctant learners. Math will no longer be a chore, it will be a source of enjoyment. The math games will be able to facilitate hands-on learning, allowing students to physically interact with math concepts. This tactile experience reinforces their understanding and memory of mathematical principles. Additionally, many of these games involve strategic thinking and problem-solving. Students will hone their critical thinking skills while enjoying the challenge of solving math-related puzzles.
The primary goal of this project is to create a Math-Centered Learning Environment.
I aim to establish a dedicated math intervention within our school, providing a vibrant and accessible space where students can engage with math in a fun and interactive manner. Beyond just skill development, I aim to instill a genuine love for mathematics in my students. I believe that a positive attitude toward math will serve them well in their academic journey.
Our students at are truly exceptional. They are special because of their determination and resilience. Despite facing economic disadvantages, they arrive at school each day with enthusiasm to learn. They are eager to overcome challenges and are filled with untapped potential. Our students' diverse backgrounds and experiences are a source of strength, fostering an inclusive and rich learning environment. They are not only learners but also budding mathematicians, scientists, and artists. With the right resources, they can achieve greatness.
