Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students spend over 100 minutes in a daily math block and staying seated for this length of time is difficult. I have chair pads and wiggle seat sensory cushions available already, but I still have several students who ask to stand frequently during class periods and this makes using their Chromebooks and binders difficult. Having the option to use a standing desk would solve all of these issues. Also, my students need to have increased access to handheld calculators during certain tests and tasks that block the use of online calculators. My school does not have enough scientific calculators to allow student access in all classrooms. The addition of these calculators will reduce the stress of waiting and arranging schedules in order to have access to a calculator,
