This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with the majority of our students receiving free lunch. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in Miami Beach. Students speak a multitude of languages including English, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Portuguese and Pakistan. As diverse as my students are economically and culturally, they are diverse in their academics.
Students are eager to learn and explore new concepts.
They love technology and they really want to be part of the community,
My Project
The use of laptops with math applications is part of daily routine in my classroom. Everyone needs headphones to listen to the instructions to solve the math problem. Students who are practicing different concepts should be able to follow instructions without disturbing their peers who might be working on other skills.
Listening and following directions is extremely important to succeed!
By donating to this project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their math achievements. In fact, students will be able to concentrate on their Algebra online assignments without distractions.

Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
