These basic school supplies will enhance our classroom and allow students to become more creative with hands on activities where they use math journals and other supplies.
Even though Math is about numbers, it is important for students to explain their thinking. Using interactive notebooks and other supplies, students will be able to express in words their thinking as it aligns to math skills.
The ability to explain your thinking is a higher level, cognitive skill that will enhance student learning. This pushes students from just knowing the basics to becoming experts.
