I am a second grade teacher at a high-need urban school in Indiana. My school community is comprised of financially struggling families of all races, languages, and religions, and extremely hard-working teachers and staff. As a community we are trying to give all the students attending our school an opportunity for a better future.
It is hard for school to compete with video games, computers and t.v. It is even harder to make learning Math fun.
The selected math games and activities will make learning math concepts fun and engaging. It will also promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and higher level thinking. All of these materials will help my students apply the skills they are learning and have fun doing it.
Your donation will help make math fun, engaging, and provide the immediate feedback that my students crave from video games. Without even realizing it, they will go from math learners, to math lovers!
