This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students in special education already have a difficult time accessing content to help support their high school success. I want to help support my students so that they feel like they are equal to their peers.

Think about being a student with a disability and being forced to push through Algebra 2 when Algebra 1 was already difficult.

I want to support these students in difficult content areas who are forced to move onto the next level so that they are successful in the content instead of being lost throughout the entire year.

When I pull small groups I would like to give the students a colored graphing calculator to help support them visually as part of a support with their IEP. This will allow them to understand how to use their graphing skills and implement these with all calculators.

I have found many different resources on Teachers Pay Teachers for notes and foldables to help support students with the Algebra 2 notes and content. I would love to get these for all of our students and help them access the content without feeling they are being targeted. These notes are fun and interactive which will allow students to be more hands-on and engaged with the math content. These will allow students to add personal touches to an interactive notebook!
