This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students will benefit from hands on learning and experiential math. Math is a universal language and in a classroom of over 80% multilingual learners, access to equitable math will support in their love for learning.
These sensory mats and manipulatives will allow students to learn with a hands on approach and truly conceptualize math.
Plus, math is so fun, this will show them that and inspire them to explore the world of mathematics and hopefully influence their futures in the potential fields in math or STEM. There's so many opportunities for kids to learn with these hands on manipulatives!
