Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students are individuals with different learning methods, and different strengths, and different needs. My classroom is a room of collaboration and thinking, where all thoughts matter, and mistakes are welcome. Students put their thoughts together in small groups, and, as a whole group, we synthesize the major ideas and propel forward through the day. They also need independent practice time, which is often aided by computer technology.
This project will facilitate group learning and provide tools for independent skill practice.
Students work best when they have opportunities to learn from others and share their thoughts with others. Using dry erase markers allows them to boldly show their work, but without the fear of making mistakes. Headphones allow students to lock in for independent practice and access helpful videos without disrupting the whole class.
