This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Isn't Math awesome? Well my students think it is, especially during our Math workshop time. Students get to work with their peers in cooperative groups to solve math problems and play math games all while building on their math concepts. This allows me to work with students in their small groups.

My students love to learn!

They are hard working students, who don't always have the materials needed at home to practice. I teach in a low socioeconomic area and the students will benefit from having the opportunity of working together on Math. I teach in an inclusion classroom and many students are on various levels. These Math Games will allow me to differentiate instruction for the students, while also working with others. One of the important things that they need to learn is how to work together to solve problems cooperatively.

My Project

The students will be able to work together while practicing various Math Concepts. They will be able to apply what they have learned and be able to work collaboratively in their workshop groups. These Math activities will strengthen their knowledge and allow them to enjoy math. The various math games requested cover many of the topics required in the 5th grade Math standards. The students will have opportunities to practice these skills in a fun and exciting way at their own pace. It will also allow me to work with the students in groups on various topics at one time depending on their needs. The Common Core Daily Math Practice Journal will also allow students to think and write about their math all while practicing Math.

By donating to my project you will help to make my students lifelong learners and lovers of Math.

Students that are reluctant in Math will have a fun and exciting way of practicing the concepts that are being taught.
