My Kindergarteners come from many backgrounds and bring with them different strengths, challenges, and struggles. I work to make sure my students feel loved, able, and successful every time they enter and leave my room. They are some of the most energetic, fun-loving, and determined kids I have ever met; they will always hold a special place in my heart.
My students inspire me daily to teach them in a way that will impact their lives.
If I could, I would give my students the world - they definitely deserve it. They keep me happy, they dance with me in the classroom, they are helpful towards each other and their community, and they are positive leaders of our school. These kids make me proud every single day, and I consider myself lucky to be able to call them my students
Students of all ages, especially Kindergartners, learn best when able to participate in hands-on activities. My goal is to add engaging manipulatives and games to our math centers. Our math center time is an exploration of numbers and their operations. By providing the children with base ten blocks, iPad games, and other math games my students will be able to practice their math skills during center time.
During math centers students are able to explore math skills independently or with a partner.
During this time I am able to observe students counting, problem solving, sorting, and pull students for small group instruction. Receiving these new games and materials for our math centers will allow me to keep a variety of high interest choices available to my students all year long!
