Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

VCMS has a large MLL population. Our general education and ML learners are all in need of various strategies to make the instructions engaging in all content areas. Specifically, one of our new teachers implemented the plickers in his classroom and 100% of the students were engaged and showed interest in learning the math concept.

As a math coach in our school building, I am looking forward to collaborating with our math teacher to develop and share this teaching strategy with our colleagues (school-wide) in increasing student engagement in each classroom which is one of the priorities we have this school year.

Our students deserve the best education from effective teachers. To ensure the quality of instructions delivered to students, we make sure that teachers are equipped with content knowledge, pedagogies, and resources to utilize in their classrooms.

With the addition of technology (iPad) that the teacher can use, this will be of great aid that we can have since we don't have a 1 to 1 ratio of technology/laptops to our students.
