My Project

I recently moved from a seventh-grade classroom position into a middle school math intervention position. I am using acceleration to fill in gaps that students have that are related to what they are/will be doing in their grade-level class. A lot of what I cover deals with integers, fractions, and equations to strengthen their base knowledge and confidence. I have found that hands-on games and activities both help put students at ease and encourage participation. Making math fun and building confidence are key to overcoming a math deficit. I am looking for manipulatives (including dice and fraction pieces) and some anchor charts for my classroom for the topics we spend the most time on.
