it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are vibrant, curious 7th graders who are navigating the challenges of junior high while building critical math skills. Many come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique strengths and learning needs. What they all share is the need for engagement—and a belief that learning can be fun.
Help bring energy, enthusiasm, and engagement into our 7th grade math classroom!
I’m seeking support to create a fun, interactive learning environment that motivates students through educational games, sensory tools, and incentive-based rewards.
Research shows that students learn best when they’re actively engaged, and this project centers around transforming math practice into a fun and interactive experience. With simple yet powerful tools like UNO, Heads Up, answer buzzers, and other collaborative games, we aim to boost participation, reinforce math concepts, and support students with different learning styles. A Teachers Pay Teachers digital card will allow me to purchase high-quality, teacher-created resources that align with our curriculum and extend the value of our classroom games. In addition, we’ll use dry erase markers and erasers to increase hands-on learning during quick checks and math stations. Sensory fidget tools will support students who benefit from sensory input and need help staying focused.
To keep motivation high, we’ll incorporate a reward system using mints, candies, and snacks for students who actively participate and show effort. These incentives help foster a classroom culture where learning and effort are celebrated. Finally, we’ll need storage containers to keep our materials organized and accessible for daily use.
My students thrive when lessons are hands-on, social, and game-based. These materials will help me tap into their energy and channel it into meaningful and memorable learning experiences. These materials will not only boost engagement—they’ll help create a positive classroom culture rooted in encouragement, effort, and joy.
