Our math classes are very hands-on and have daily interactive opportunities for students to be engaged. My students love to participate in answering math problems using whiteboards. Students are kept highly engaged by quickly showing their answers to me, the teacher, prior to calling time up.
My students are special to me because I had the opportunity to teach them for 2 years in a row.
Being a witness of their mathematical skills is a great satisfaction for any teacher. We grew very closed this school year. They are awesome!
My Project
The dry-erase whiteboards and erasers will make a huge difference in my students' learning because our math curriculum is designed for students to be engaged and be active participants by using something to solve math problems as a guided practice and show it to the teacher for monitoring learning.
This past year I used sheet protectors as dry-erase whiteboards, but I had to constantly replace them.
The quality was not good enough. My students will benefit from having the dry-erase boards because it is made of a more durable material. You can use them to engage every child in every single lesson. Minute by minute, you’ll know exactly who’s grasping the concepts and who’s not. Students love them because they’re fun. Mistakes made during guided practice can be easily brushed away.
