I work in a low-income school district in Washington state where 100% of my students receive free meals at school
My students are migrant learners who live on a reservation. They are eager to learn despite the odds they have against them in their lives. At our school, we do everything we can to help them be college and career ready. This includes being people who are hard workers and excited to learn.
My Project
My Kindergartners need a lot of hands-on experiences when working with numbers. Being able to gamify mathematics, allows my students a more engaging opportunity to learn their numbers. Working together at their tables in small groups, students will use these interactive tools to help solidify their sense of numbers.
Listening to Kindergarten students practice counting aloud as they build sets of numbers, is like music to my ears!
Helping each other count is highly engaging and a great way for them to learn. They enjoy using hands-on tools and working with one another to support their learning experiences. Thank you for considering sponsoring this project. We greatly appreciate your support!
