In our classroom, we are more than just a teacher and students. We become family over the year. We learn, laugh, and make mistakes together, as a community. From the beginning, we come together to create magical learning experiences in our classroom.
A masterpiece is built when many different personalities with diverse perspectives, come together to create something wonderful, which I refer to as family, a classroom, or whatever you choose to call it.
Our classroom culture is built on trust, commonalities and differences, and as I said, our love for learning. Our school is a 100% free/reduced-price lunch school, and more than three-quarters of the students come from low-income, high poverty backgrounds. Our classroom is full of caring, creative, driven, and fun-loving individuals who all come together because of one thing, our love for learning.
The number one goal I have in mind for my students is creating a safe place for them to come for a warm meal, friendly smile, and optimism.
With limited resources in our district, we are often unable to purchase items that students need to maximize their learning, explore the world around them, and challenge themselves.
My Project
My students love our interactive math and grammar daily but taking the tape on and off daily, not only wastes a lot of learning time but leaves a lot of residue on our white board, which is actually shower board.
With a magnetic white board, magnets, and markers, my students will be able use our interactive daily grammar and math easier and more often.
My students love learning and love having interactive boards, like our grammar and math.
With these materials, we would be able to add an interactive spelling and science board as well. Learning should be student-center based, our interactive boards do just that.
