My Project

My students are in first grade and are curious and playful. They’re always ready to explore something new and love hands-on materials in the classroom. This year, we need more math games in our room to learn through play. I’m requesting several different math games for different ability levels so everyone can practice the concept/skills we have been learning in class as well as learning through one another.

Games are a great way to have students learn through play but also explore how other students solve problems.

Students learn from one another as well as how to interact with their peers. I want to be able to offer one day a week for 30 minutes where kids play math games. These games will allow the kids to work with one another on the skills that have been taught throughout the school year.
