My Students

I teach 5th and 6th grade math. Our school is a title 1 school with a high number of ESL students. My students work hard for me in math class. Some students are struggling due to having some gaps in their mathematical learning. I want to help them close the gaps.

I want to ensure that my students get the strongest foundation of math to become successful adults.

I want my students to feel successful in math and confident in their abilities to problem solve.

My Project

These games will help my students better understand the math concepts that I am teaching them. Sometimes the "fun" of the games will help them learn without having to do pencil paper math.

Math can be fun!

Students need to have a good understanding of math skills, and playing games makes it enjoyable for students to learn math while having fun. These games will help them better understand the concepts that we will be learning in 5th and 6th grade. I can't wait to use these games with my students in class. They will be excited to play games instead of paper and pencil math.
