My Project

Our first graders are so fun and love to move! We are requesting magnetic ten frames to help reinforce the concept of making a 10 to add and subtract. These are tough concepts to learn, but once students learn them, skills can be applied to addition and subtraction with more difficult numbers! We're also requesting jumbo dice to practice subitizing, fraction tubes to understand parts of a whole, and Trifacta which reinforces addition and subtraction quickly.

We need our students to learn and become financially literate through basic number concepts and play!

We're also requesting 2 Power Pens to go with our Math Power Pen Cards. These pens go through a lot, but will reinforce quick independent learning and will chime if the answer is correct and buzz at you if the answer is incorrect. The last item we're requesting is a small set of 4 magnetic pocket charts to be able play math centers in various locations in the room.

These games will allow us to fully understand numbers and the basic skills we need to master the 1st grade Common Core State Standards. They will also allow us to play and master the standard verses doing worksheets!
