My students need math games and this Math Folder Game Library has enough activities for all 24 of my students during our Guided Math lessons. ZINGO is a fun game that reinforces counting and addition.
I am a First Grade teacher in Houston. As a teacher of young people for many years, it is my passion to instill in them that Learning Is Fun! My students are inquisitive, eager to learn, and full of energy! My students love to play games, so having workstation materials is a perfect way to apply their knowledge in a fun way.
They need workstation materials for practice that also keep them engaged!
First Grade students are so excited to come to school. My students are learning about being self-sufficient in the classroom, cooperation, and empathy. They get excited whenever I introduce a new workstation because they see it as a game. Watching them learn together and teach one another is one of THE best rewards of being their teacher!
My Project
It is important for students to practice skills in a hands-on real-world approach especially with math. These games will definitely reinforce math concepts taught in the classroom. They will also support independence because students will check their work. Taking ownership of their learning is vital.
I really want my students to have a solid math foundation and become fluent in numeracy.
Math concepts build upon each other, so learning in a fun way takes that anxiety component out.
When my students move on to 2nd grade, I want them to feel more than comfortable with their math competency; I want them to be Math Experts! I am asking for these workstation folder games and the ZINGO game to help my students excel. Thank you for reading my proposal and supporting education!
