My Students

"Hey Ms. G!" "How are you?" "What are we going to learn about today?" This is some of the morning cheer and smiles that I am fortunate to hear from my students. I work with fifth grade students in an inclusion setting. Our school is a Title I school with all students receiving free lunch.

My students come from diverse backgrounds with many challenges socially, emotionally, and financially.

Even with these challenges, my students come to school with a smile on their faces, eager to learn and ready for the rigor of the school day. Every day I look forward to coming to school to provide a safe, nurturing environment in which my students can thrive.

My Project

Our students are very hands-on learners. One challenge they face is learning new concepts and maintaining those concepts for future use. I feel that our students need more math folder games and activities to support and engage their learning.

Your donation will help my students to build their math concept skills!

I feel that this will make math more exciting and they will look forward to the new and challenging concepts learned in 5th grade. I want our students to feel like school is a fun place to be while keeping up with the new styles of learning in this 21st century.
