My Students

My students are energetic and eager to come to school each day and to be in a warm and loving environment. They are excited to be challenged and to learn new things. Many of my students come from a low-socioeconomic home and have different backgrounds and hardships that they struggle with. Although my students are different, they come together to learn and experience things together. I want to continue to inspire them to be the best students that they can be. I can honestly say that I love my job and I am fascinated by what my students say and do each day.

My Project

Each of these file folder game packs are things that are taught in the first-grade curriculum. Instead of using worksheets, I want to make education fun and engaging for my students by providing them with fun math games. We are currently solving addition and subtraction equations and word problems. It is so exciting because there is an operations file folder math game pack, which would be perfect for what my students are learning. The "Diner" game is a great game that my students would love to play, while being relevant. The best part about these materials is that students can have fun while learning.

Teaching is my passion and I would love to get my students excited about their learning each day.

Being able to have these materials available to us in the classroom would facilitate immersion in math. Not only would my students be engaged but they would be communicating their thoughts and ideas with others as well as building critical thinking skills. I am so excited to see what else my students would do with these materials. I know that they would be used daily and will be loved by all.
