My Students

Every day my students enter my classroom ready for a new start. They enter eager to learn and are full of energy. Many of my students come from a limited economic background and do not have the means necessary to purchase everyday school supplies, let alone any of the extras.

My classroom is set up on a rotational model.

Students spend half of the time working on a computer program and the other half getting small group differentiated instruction from the teacher. Each Friday we play math games during our small group rotation to enrich their math skills.

My Project

Each Friday in my classroom I have my students play math games to enrich what they are learning. I have been doing this for the past two years and have experienced great success! The students look forward to coming to my class and are still learning while they are here!

I have selected a variety of resources that I will incorporate into the different games we play.

The dice will be used to practice order of operations as well as multiplication facts. The playing cards will be used to enrich fractions as well as exponents. I have also selected a few additional games that were recommended by our district math coach.
