Math Foundational Skills Centers/Reading Canopy

My Project

My first-grade classroom is incredible! We are so excited to embark on another fantastic school year, focusing on building a classroom community and infusing love into all that we learn. Now that we are fully open following the COVID pandemic, we are determined to continue to have a joyful and productive year ahead, full of learning, laughter, and love.

Our class is in need of Foundational Skills Math Literacy Centers, along with a Reading Canopy to separate the reading area from the rest of the classroom.

We will use our math games and centers on a daily basis to enhance students' number sense, ensuring that they are prepared for more advanced concepts in upper grades. The Reading Canopy will be used to 'warm up' our school library area to encourage reading and distinguish it from other classroom areas.
