This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students at GES are awesome kids who want to learn. Many are recent immigrants from all over the world who do not have common school supplies at home. In order to improve their math skills, they need to build fluency with basic math facts. While there are many free math fact programs online, not all of our students have internet or a device at home and those who do may have a hard time focusing on a device while their parents are busy cooking dinner and doing other important tasks. We want to provide an old-school method for students to practice their math facts every night without the distractions of the internet. Most stores charge way too much for a simple set of cards but Dollar Tree has the best price we could find. Please help us purchase these flashcards for our students!
