My Students

Students in my classes struggle with disabilities and understanding concepts taught in core classes. Each of the student put forth so much effort and often times they just need a little bit of help and direction to succeed.

Engagement in math activities is key.

Students need engaging opportunities to help them progress in math. The students I work with struggle due to a range of disabilities and these manipulative items will help with increasing their skills in geometry and other areas of the math curriculum.

My Project

Students with disabilities need engaging math activities. Some are low levels needing to work in basic math, some are moving on to geometry. Hands on learning really helps them build these skills they need for life.

My students work hard but struggle to visualize geometric shapes and struggle with basic math skills.

These items would build life skills my students need to be lifelong learners. Developing a good foundation in math gives them something to continue building on.

The project would also help the students with small group activities and extension activities.
