My Project
As we move into the second half of the school year, the pressure is put on the staff and students to cover all the standards and prepare for the state assessments. As an educator, it is my goal to refocus the students to what matters most. This is giving them the education they deserve by providing them with relatable and fun information that they will be able to retain and remember well beyond the state assessments. One way I am able to do this for my students is by providing them with resources and materials that allow them to think and practice skills to ensure their retention.
Stations and hands on learning have proven themselves to me and my students time and time again.
With these resources, I will be able to continue to create the resources my students need to be successful learners. Being able to laminate the materials at each station ensures that all of the students will be able to use the materials in their best condition whether they are the first student to use them or the 48th student to do so. New manipulatives and pencils will also allow my students more opportunities to engage in interactive and hands on activities while they are learning in my classroom.
