This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember trying to count as high as you could? My students are just getting past 15. Don't let them stop there!
My early childhood students are predominantly English Language Learners attending a bilingual school.
They are four- and five-year-old students who are struggling to learn early math skills. They are an amazing group of young learners seeking knowledge about their world. These wonderful children love playing counting games, number rhymes and using manipulatives during our math lessons.
My Project
This project will change the lives of my students by providing them with the materials they need to enhance their emergent math skills. The activities I can provide for my students with the materials from this project will help me engage my students in the early learning skills they need to become confident with their math skills. These young learners need hands-on math materials to engage them in active exploration.
This project will help my 30 early childhood students develop a secure number sense and provide them with the skills and confidence they need to be lifelong learners!
