This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We now live in a world where people need to be technologically savvy in order to prosper. Unfortunately, our school cannot keep pace with many of the extraordinary digital resources that are available today. I would love to take the instruction to my student to another level through technology.

I teach at school where the majority come from low income homes.

They come from hard working families who want their children to succeed. I have a few who have been identified as gifted, although I teach them all as they are "gifted." I enjoy coming to school because my student show me everyday that they want to learn. They ask if they can "do more (such as, clean the room, help me in the classroom, x-tra credit work)". They run back into the classroom after school because they forgot to write down the homework. They tell me to have a nice weekend, thank me everyday for my instruction, and say that they have never enjoyed math before until now. They make me want to do my best for them everyday because they deserve an awesome teacher.

My Project

With the LCD Projector I will be able to SHOW the animations for our math lessons through the laptop everyday. I won't have to share with another teacher anymore or/and wait for days until it gets repaired. I'll be able display POWER POINTS of math lessons to engage students and make the math come alive!!! There are so many resources that I may displace through the LCD Projector that will maximize student learning though the animations and I want my student to experience this everyday.

This LCD Projector will bring my teaching to a whole new level.

My student will appreciate instruction that is presented with the latest technology through animation and vivid colors. Student won't view math as rules and procedures to memorize, the math will come alive to them!!! Please help me make this possible.
