Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are the greatest little kindergartners in the world and have been through a lot this year.
We are a Title I school in Pasadena, TX where Hurricane Harvey made landfall during our first week of school this year.
This is my first year teaching kindergarten where the children are very active and need plenty of time to engage with each other to learn basic social skills as well as basic alphabetical knowledge. These items will be a great asset to our classroom to allow students to learn with hands-on activities. Having these supplies will keep the students engaged during center time and spark an interest in learning.
Each student learns differently and I think it's important to have something for every learner.
My Project
We're asking for math games for my students to play during guided reading or centers. They love when I add new items and the addition games will really help them learn.
We need a new book shelf to put all of our new books we have received.
We love to read in our class and I would like to display the books on a nice shelf.
We use a lot of spinners in math to help with number recognition, addition and subtraction. We need more spinners and velcro dots to put on our board games to use the games properly.
