Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students will be able to foster a love and understanding for mathematics through meaningful exploration with suggested grade level materials. This project includes a host of math puzzles that are self correcting, these items will tremendously help to develop their math skills such as place value, time, money, fractions, all operations +,-,x,/, and more.

The students will use these materials to recall knowledge to foster a deeper conceptual understanding.

They will have the opportunity to practice skills with specific tools and materials to aid in their overall understanding.

Fostering math skills is important to build the futures next mathematicians, scientist, and engineers of the future. My students will use the math puzzles as a chosen center or station activity mostly. We will also use them during small group for an engaging exit ticket challenge. I want to give them more opportunities to explore math with puzzles.
