This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come to me either eager to learn math or terrified! I teach a very diverse group of students from various backgrounds. I've had students tell me by the end of the year that even though they are not the best at math they feel better about it and loved being in my class. I am always looking for new strategies that can help my students succeed.
My goal is to make my class engaging so that students want to be there, so that we can work together to bring out their inner mathematician!
My Project
Math is awesome and I am always looking for strategies to help deliver the best instruction possible. These tools (iPad and Apple pencil) will allow students to see problems solved live through distance learning as well as allow for teacher mobility in the classroom when we return.
Students will actually be able to see me write as opposed to typing in some platforms.
These tools allow me to draw various representations of the math. Not all students learn the same and these tools will allow me to demonstrate concepts not just with typed equations and inserted graphs but with actual drawings and models.
