I teach two half-day sessions of kindergarten, which means I will have a total of 44-52 students. I love teaching these eager and energetic kids! I'm excited to begin to introduce more S.T.E.M. and S.T.E.A.M. activities in my classroom. Every year I have students who speak other languages, come to school unprepared, and students who are right where they should be academically or even above grade level. It is a real challenge to make sure all the students are making progress and mastering all of the needed concepts.
Our school focuses on the mastery of literacy, math, and the arts.
The materials that I chose will be used by the Kindergarten students in small groups. The teacher will work with a small group of students on a focused skill and the students will work independently in math and S.T.E.M centers, to deepen his or her understanding of the math concepts.
My students will SOAR in math by using these math and STEM centers.
Students will engage in learning with math and STEM centers in small groups. These math centers are done daily. More small group and individual time spent learning and practicing math concepts will help my students be successful.
