This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our Pre-K classroom we have five centers and at "Learn Time" the students select a center and the materials (toys) they are going to be working with. They come up with a plan of what they are going to do and how they will accomplish that plan. This 12 cubby cabinet will be used in the Math and Science Center where the students work on STEAM( Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math.) activities. This cabinet will make visible and accessible the materials in this center.
By having this 12 cubby cabinet my goal is to entice the students to select the Math and Science Center, where they can work on developing creativity, fine-motor coordination, math, and science skills.
They also learn to cooperate, problem-solve, and develop language skills
