I have a wonderful and diverse group of students. I have over six different languages spoken in my classroom. Many of my students speak very little English and have just recently come to the United States as refugees from other countries. The diversity in the classroom can cause challenges for teaching, but it also makes my room unique and special! I wouldn't have it any other way!
My students love to learn, laugh and play!
They are curious, self-motivated learners who always want to know more!
We are requesting a set of Let’s Go Fishing math activities. These math games focus on sorting, counting, and patterning. Students will fish for numbers in order to practice these kindergarten math skills.
We are also requesting Magnetic Language Rod sets.
Students practice sorting objects based on certain characteristics or categories. These activities will be wonderful for my English language learners. They will enjoy looking and pictures and sorting them to help them learn and understand the language.
Both of these requested materials will be used in small group areas. Students will be able to practice these skills with parents or in groups.
