My fourth-grade students are creative, energetic, and inquisitive. They come to school each day eager to learn and ready for hands-on activities. My students strive for knowledge and need our support to prepare them for the future. Students require multiple exposures and experiences with manipulatives to retain information. My classroom is full of varying needs. Many students need support strengthening foundational skills.
Help give my students hands-on activities to strengthen math and English Language Arts skills!
The math specific whiteboards will be used to learn and practice place value skills, multi-digit multiplication, and division. Students require organization, direct support, and ample opportunities for practice to master these math skills. Instructional posters will support teaching 4th grade Nevada content standards to the whole group. The math games and flash cards will be used to reinforce content standards in small groups.
The phonic dominoes and various phonic manipulatives will be used in small group instruction to reinforce and enhance decoding skills. Students need to be fluent decoders in order to comprehend complex text. Many of my students need additional practice and support to achieve success with grade level text.
