Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students are more engaged in their learning when they are able to use multi-sensory and hands-on materials. By providing tactile centers and materials, my students will feel motivated and retain information during their working times.
Hands-on centers will allow students to not only grow academically, but also build their problem-solving skills with one another as well as furthering important life skills such as collaborating, sharing, and taking turns.
As I pull small groups to meet with students to continue meeting them where they are, other students will be engaged in these centers. Many of these support foundational skills such as phonemic awareness and number sense, and will also support current and future concepts.
