My students are from a large, urban community that welcomes families from all over the globe. They bring a special blend of linguistic diversity, background knowledge, prior experiences, and culture to our school. We are a Title I school in a low-income community. I have twenty-five Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) students in my classroom. Free breakfast and free lunch are available to every child in our building each day.
My students are creative, clever, and very enthusiastic about learning.
The majority of my students read below grade level. They would benefit from a variety of classroom resources to help increase their success in school. My students need to have technology experiences that help foster 21st-century critical thinkers. I want all of my students to be able to have the use of technology in our classroom on a daily basis.
My Project
Please help me to give my students Teachers Pay Teachers activities with hands-on math and ELA lessons to help with their remote learning. We are all experiencing a difficult time with school closures due to COVID-19, imagine being a fourth grade English Language Learner. This project is intended to ease some of the unknowns happening right now in all of our lives, especially my students! These materials are consistent with what we use daily in our classroom setting and now hope to use it with our remote learning!
I continue to engage my English Language Learners in the face of prolonged school closures with consistent, high-quality activities.
A Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to purchase creative lessons to help students practice their language skills, engage in a hands-on math lesson, or to ensure that families have the tools they need to support at-home learning.
