Math and Blending Basics

Help me give my students a variety of math counters. They need practice counting and sorting many types of objects.

My Students

My students are creative and ask lots of questions. They have a desire to learn new things and challenge themselves. I teach kindergarten. Primary grades, like kindergarten, need lots of hands-on activities.

My students are good at problem-solving and not giving up, and they are always looking for new ways to challenge themselves.

They amaze me by how quickly they pick up new concepts and implement them. This year we are using the Blended Learning model in our classroom. They are ready for any new challenge put in front of them. They are determined and are not easily discouraged. As they persevere, they are learning life skills every day.

My Project

These materials will give my students a variety of hands-on math and word blending materials. We have a new math program this year. These hands-on manipulatives will encourage my students to have fun with math. I will especially use these materials with struggling students. These tools will help them find success in math and reading.

These materials will help my students to develop a love for learning.

They will more easily be able to represent their thinking as they read and problem solve. Kindergarteners need lots of hands-on materials. I believe that encouraging them to love learning will help them to have a successful future!
