This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher of students with disabilities in a low-income and high poverty school district, I see several challenges my students face both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with meaningful learning experiences.
The students in my school are smart, engaging, funny, eager to learn, and we believe in collaboration and having a positive learning environment.
I am currently teaching second, third, fourth, and fifth-grade remote special education students who have difficulty with both reading and math.
My Project
All of my students need a basic foundation in math especially after the trying year we have had. Greats Leaps is a math program that builds student math fluency and confidence in math. Great Leaps allows students to gain fluency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and so much more. Please help me support students and increase their love of math.
Greats Leaps Math will allow my students to build the confidence that they need to become great mathematicians.
This program will give my students with disabilities the ability be successful academically. This program will support my students to reach their goals and change their lives.
