This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are incredible and inspire me every day! Over the past few years, we have introduced an incredible amount of technology in our classrooms, and the students are learning and collaborating in ways that I would never have imagined 5 years ago.

But, there are still some math concepts, even in advanced algebra, that the students need help conceptualizing.

That's where Algebra Tiles come in. Solving quadratics using visuals and manipulative tiles really make​ it easier for the students to conceptualize and apply math to real-world examples.

My Project

The use of visuals is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Students have a hard time conceptualizing the tougher topics, and algebra tiles and view-thru geometric solids allow them to play around with these concepts and explore for themselves. It helps to make more sense of the less tangible subjects, like quadratics.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

I have seen how these manipulatives can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the donation will help us grow even more!
