My Project

This year I am teaching a special education kindergarten class that is full of amazing and inquisitive students that love to engage in hands on academic activities! As they are only four and five years old and have a variety of learning needs, they crave play based learning experiences that involve manipulatives! Due to my students' learning and support needs, it can be difficult to find activities that my students can work on independently while the paraprofessionals and I teach intervention small groups. It is important that I provide the rest of the class with highly motivating activities that play to their interests in order to promote independent work. One activity that they love to do and can do independently are puzzles!

I need your help to purchase alphabet and math puzzles that will help my students improve their independent work skills by engaging in a hands on, academic activity that they love to do!

Building independent work skills is an important life skill for my students to learn. Providing my students with hands on, preferred, and accessible independent learning activities is essential to helping my classroom run smoothly. It will allow me to have more opportunities to pull individual students for small group/1:1 instruction to target their learning goals. Thank you for your time and consideration!
