This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a passionate educator in Broward County, Florida. I would do anything for my students. Many children come from little to no income homes and in a high crime area in the city of Pompano Beach. Often times, they are left feeling helpless and hopeless. I want to lift these children up, by showing them what they can be! I can see their potential everyday. Help me achieve this with digital learning resources and solutions during this trying times. I know every child is capable of their dreams with the tools and mindset. The setback created by the pandemic has struck my students. They are two or more grade levels below in math!

My Project

I work for one of the roughest and toughest schools in the second largest district in Florida. This school has a high teacher turn over rate that is harming the children. In addition, the Pandemic has set back our kidds 2 grade levels or below. Often times, during last years virtual learning. Children just did not show up to virtual class. These factors poorly impacted our youth in Pompano Beach Florida.

Let us lift the students to be a successful learner with math manipulatives.
