My day begins with meeting with the children with greatest needs. They are the children that need support with letter recognition, rhyming words and letter writing. I would like my students to be grade reading level by the end of the year. The biggest challenge is meeting their needs.
I work with English language learners from different countries.
Our school is a small school located in a large city. The students come from diverse backgrounds and different financial backgrounds. They are very eager and excited about learning a new language and their new culture,
My Project
My students will use the resources to help improve their reading comprehension. The children will use the magnetic letters, markers and their notebooks to write and illustrate their ideas. The pencil grips will help the students with proper holding of the pencils which help motivate the students to write.
The supplies will help my students with their writing and their literacy development.
The children like using a variety of materials for example markers, notebooks with spaces to write and draw and keeping it all together in one notebook.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
