Materials to Support Remote and in School Reading Intervention
Help me give my students hands on materials to practice literacy skills. The magnetic tiles, dry erase boards and funds for Teachers Pay Teachers will allow my students to be supported during remote learning.

My Students
My students are hard-working, motivated and in inquisitive young readers. They enjoy working in a small group with me to receive extra support with their decoding (reading) skills. I work as a reading intervention teacher and work with small groups of 4-8 students for 3-4 times a week.
The best part of my job is I get the chance to build bonds with these students and to make a lasting impact on their reading trajectory.
As a result, many students are able to make tremendous gains and are able to read at grade level. It is the best feeling to my students' confidence and their faces when they know that they can now read. Additionally, some of my students are English Language Learners and some of them are students with special needs. They all have one thing in common, the desire to learn.
My Project
My students are multi-sensory learners. They need hands-on tools to practice their literacy skills. We often use magnetic tiles, dry erase boards and hands-on activities as a way to practice our encoding and as a way to build knowledge of letter-sound correspondence.
These materials will provide students the multi-sensory tools they need to learn to read.
The first item I am requesting are magnetic letters which will provide each student with a set of letters that they can use to build words. The second item I am requesting are magnetic dry erase board will be used to build words and as a way for students to show an understanding of spelling concepts by writing words and or sentences using a dry erase marker. The third item I am requesting are the phonemic awareness activities from Lakeshore which will provide students practice with prerequisite skills that are required for reading. Many students need work on these skills.
These tools will give students access to materials that will facilitate their in person or at home learning and help them become flourishing readers. I appreciate your support with this project.
