Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students started in-person learning after having to learn remote for a few months. They are super eager to see their classmates everyday and participate in different learning experiences.
My students are super creative, artistic, and curious.
Students love learning about different ancient civilizations during Social Studies.
My Project
My students want to recreate an aspect of ancient civilization by making artifacts for our classroom "museum." Each artifact will be hand-made and demonstrate their understanding of past society as a final project for Social Studies. This project will be hands-on and super engaging. Students will recreate famous architectures, inventions, and people from ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, China, and Rome.
The materials I am requesting were selected by my students: clay, paint, wooden building blocks, cardboard boxes, and miniature trees.
They will use these materials to create their ancient civilization artifacts. They are already excited for this project to begin.
