Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am the teacher of the happiest group of children you can find. They come to school every morning ready to learn through play. Yet, due to budget cuts, our classroom is lacking the materials needed to stimulate their learning.

In the first five years of a child’s life, it is imperative to develop their social-emotional skills, cognitive skills, and motor skills.

It would give me great pleasure to be able to provide my children with these materials and witness them blossom.

Playing with Play-Doh supports the child’s social skills by taking turns and sharing. It can boost the children's language and literacy, science, and math skills.

Girls like to play with dolls which helps them to practice helping, sharing, and caring skills. For boys, they like to play with trucks and trains which are problem-solving skills to the imagination and communication. It helps them with their developmental stages too.

We like doing activities using nature.

Sand is a perfect natural resource for developing motor skills that build strength and control by digging and shaping.

It also promotes large muscle groups and physical development.

I hope these donations will help us to create a stimulating learning environment in school.
